Blockchain Researcher Defends Ethereum Foundation, Says It’s ‘Exactly’ Doing Its Job

Blockchain researcher William Mougayar has defended the Ethereum Foundation against recent criticism, clarifying that the organization's role is to act as a protocol steward rather than a marketing department. Mougayar emphasizes that the asset (ETH), the infrastructure (Ethereum), and the Foundation are distinct entities. He argues that the Foundation's current path is focused on decentralization and hardening the protocol so that it eventually becomes less reliant on the organization itself.
