Tata Electronics has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Dutch semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML to bolster India’s domestic chip production. The collaboration centers on a $11 billion semiconductor fabrication facility currently under development in Dholera, Gujarat. Beyond the provision of advanced lithography machinery, the agreement encompasses strategic cooperation in training local personnel and establishing a resilient supply chain within the country. The Dholera plant is intended to be India's first commercial 300 mm front-end facility, focusing on chip production for the automotive, mobile, and artificial intelligence sectors.
