ANTPOOL, Block Inc, F2Pool, Foundry, Spiderpool, MARA Foundation & DMND Join Stratum v2 Working Group

The Stratum v2 Working Group has announced that ANTPOOL, Block Inc, F2Pool, Foundry, Spiderpool, MARA Foundation, and DMND have joined its ranks. These significant players in the Bitcoin mining ecosystem will collaborate to accelerate the adoption of the Stratum v2 protocol. Founded in 2022 by Braiins and Spiral, the working group aims to develop and maintain Stratum v2 as an open, vendor-neutral specification. Stratum v2 is an upgrade to the original mining protocol, offering substantial improvements in efficiency, privacy, security, and decentralization. The inclusion of these new members signifies a major step forward in ensuring the protocol's compatibility with real-world mining operations and reflects a growing industry consensus on its future direction. Stratum v2 features include efficient management of large miner fleets, end-to-end encryption, and the ability for individual miners to create their own block templates with supporting pools.
