Burwick Law has initiated a class action lawsuit against Iggy Azalea on behalf of investors who purchased the MOTHER memecoin. The complaint alleges that Azalea misled buyers by promoting the token as having significant real-world utility, such as integration with the MOTHERLAND casino and Unreal Mobile, while also claiming professional market-making support. The plaintiffs contend that these features failed to materialize or function as promised, leading to significant financial losses as the token's value plummeted by approximately 99.5%. The lawsuit seeks damages under consumer protection laws, arguing that the marketing practices were deceptive regardless of the token's status as a security.
