Stripe partners with Google to bring AI shopping into Gemini and AI Mode

Stripe has announced a partnership with Google to integrate e-commerce capabilities directly into Google's AI Mode and Gemini app. This collaboration is part of Stripe's Agentic Commerce Suite, designed to allow businesses to sell products within AI applications. Companies like Quince, Fanatics, and JD Sports are expected to participate. The suite will also be available on platforms such as Wix, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce, simplifying the process for merchants to sell through AI apps without custom integrations. Additionally, Stripe is introducing Link wallets for AI agents, enabling secure, authorized payments with hidden payment details, and streaming payments for AI companies to charge for tokens in real-time. Stripe's Radar service has also been expanded to protect AI companies from fraud and abuse.
