Bitnomial Launches US-Regulated Injective Futures with ETF Implications
Summary
Chicago-based Bitnomial has introduced monthly futures contracts tied to Injective (INJ), marking the first US-regulated derivatives product for the Injective ecosystem. These contracts, which settle in INJ, allow traders to gain price exposure using either crypto or US dollars via Bitnomial's clearinghouse.
The launch establishes a six-month track record that could satisfy SEC requirements for a spot Injective ETF. This follows recent moves by Canary Capital to file for a staked INJ ETF. While institutional clients have immediate access, retail trading is expected to launch soon through Bitnomial's Botanical platform.
Bitnomial, regulated by the CFTC, continues to expand its altcoin derivatives offerings despite regulatory challenges from the SEC. The company also plans to introduce perpetual futures and options tied to INJ in the future.
