Anthropic has unveiled Mythos Preview, a powerful AI model capable of identifying vulnerabilities in smart contracts at machine speed. This poses a significant and immediate threat to the cryptocurrency industry, potentially leading to billions of dollars in losses. Unlike the long-theorized quantum computing threat, Mythos can exploit existing software flaws, compressing the time between bug discovery and exploit development from months to seconds.
