BlackRock Launches Staked Ethereum ETF Offering Yield

BlackRock has introduced its iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB), which will trade on the Nasdaq. This new exchange-traded product (ETP) offers investors direct spot exposure to Ether (ETH) while also generating income through the staking of a portion of its ETH holdings. Robert Mitchnick, BlackRock’s global head of digital assets, stated that ETHB offers an important new way for investors to participate in the evolving ecosystem by combining spot exposure with staking rewards. The fund launches with a 0.25% sponsor fee, which will be waived for the first year, effectively reducing the fee to 0.12% on the initial $2.5 billion in assets under management. This product joins BlackRock's existing digital asset lineup, including the highly successful iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) and iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA).
