Mastercard launches global crypto partner program with Binance, Ripple and more

Mastercard has initiated a global Crypto Partner Program, bringing together over 85 crypto-native companies, payment providers, and financial institutions such as Binance, Circle, Ripple, Gemini, PayPal, and Paxos. The program's primary goal is to foster collaboration on developing future enterprise use cases for on-chain payments, focusing on cross-border remittances, B2B transfers, payouts, and settlement. Mastercard believes the next phase of on-chain payments requires collaboration to integrate the speed and programmability of digital assets with established card rails and global commerce flows, emphasizing practical execution across markets. This initiative builds upon Mastercard's existing digital asset efforts, including its Start Path accelerator and Crypto Card program, and follows recent expansions into the digital asset sector through partnerships with Cloudflare, potential acquisition of Zerohash, and collaborations with MetaMask and SoFi.
