Gondi Disables Smart Contract Bug After $230K Exploit
Summary
NFT lending protocol Gondi announced it disabled a faulty smart contract following a $230,000 exploit that saw 78 NFTs stolen. The vulnerability was in the “Sell & Repay” contract, which allows borrowers to sell NFTs to repay loans. While an updated contract was deployed on February 20th, the hacker still managed to exploit it. Gondi reports that no other part of the platform was affected and that Blockaid and an independent auditor have confirmed the platform is now safe. The platform is focused on compensating affected users by repaying loans, refinancing, and replacing stolen NFTs with comparable items. Community members also recovered some stolen NFTs, including those from the Doodle, Aluminum Gazer, Lil Pudgy, and Servant of the Muse collections.
