Nigel Farage invests in UK bitcoin treasury firm led by former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng

Nigel Farage, leader of the UK's Reform party, has strategically invested in Stack BTC Plc, an Aquis-listed bitcoin treasury firm, through his vehicle Thorn In The Side Ltd, acquiring a 6.3% stake after a £260,000 equity fundraising round. Stack BTC, chaired by former UK Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng (who holds 5.43%), plans to use the funds to establish a bitcoin treasury reserve and acquire cash-generative businesses. Farage expressed his belief that the UK should be a major global hub for the crypto industry. This investment aligns with Reform UK's increasingly crypto-friendly stance, which has also seen significant donations from Tether investor Christopher Harborne, though the growing role of crypto funding in UK politics is attracting calls for tighter restrictions on political donations.
