Europol, FBI Wipe Major Crime Forum LeakBase Off The Web

An international law enforcement operation involving Europol, the FBI, and agencies from 14 countries successfully took down the notorious cybercrime forum LeakBase. The platform hosted over 142,000 members who bought and sold stolen data and cybercrime tools. Authorities seized user accounts, posts, credit details, private messages, and IP logs for evidentiary purposes. Law enforcement also executed arrests and search warrants across several countries, including the US, UK, and Belgium. Officials stated the takedown disrupts a major international venue used by cybercriminals to profit from stolen sensitive personal and banking credentials. This action follows the 2022 shutdown of LeakBase's predecessor, Raidforums, and comes amid a rise in leaked data affecting the crypto industry.
