Aave Delegate ACI Winds Down After Temp Check Vote

The Aave Chan Initiative (ACI), a key governance delegate, announced it will wind down its operations within the Aave ecosystem over the next four months because it no longer sees a future there. This decision stems from concerns regarding governance standards and voting dynamics, specifically following the passage of a closely contested Temp Check vote for Aave Labs' funding proposal, which allocates up to $42.5 million and 75,000 AAVE tokens. ACI criticized the vote, stating it was "decided by Labs-linked addresses voting on their own budget," arguing that a major budget recipient holding undisclosed voting power undermines the role of independent service providers. ACI plans to submit a proposal to cancel its GHO funding stream and transfer remaining payments to the treasury to facilitate a smooth transition.
