Anthony Pompliano’s Bitcoin treasury company adds 450 BTC, expands share buybacks

Anthony Pompliano's digital asset treasury firm, ProCap Financial, announced it purchased an additional 450 Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 5,457 BTC, valued near $375 million as of Monday morning. Simultaneously, the company is expanding efforts to repurchase its own stock when the market misprices it, actions Pompliano stated are accretive to shareholders. This aggressive posture comes as Bitcoin has significantly dropped from its all-time high, putting ProCap in a position to play offense. The company's shares (ticker BRR) have seen their value deteriorate amid the broader BTC price drop, though they rose about 6% on Monday morning to $2.80. ProCap Financial was formed in June after Pompliano's firm merged with Columbus Circle Capital Corp. with plans to acquire up to $1 billion in Bitcoin.
