Aave Proposal Clears First Hurdle After Split Vote

Aave's "Aave Will Win" framework, which proposes funding Aave Labs with up to $42.5 million in stablecoins and 75,000 AAVE tokens in exchange for routing 100% of revenue to the Aave DAO treasury, has cleared the first governance hurdle, the off-chain Snapshot Temp Check vote, with 52.58% approval. This narrow margin signals a divided governance base regarding structural changes. The proposal now advances to the Aave Request for Final Comment (ARFC) stage, where revisions based on community feedback, including concerns over the funding size and the inclusion of AAVE tokens with voting power, may be incorporated before a binding on-chain vote (AIP). Aave founder Stani Kulechov stated the Temp Check moves the protocol closer to a "fully token-centric model."
